Against adversity (which in this case was foot infection from wearing new shoes in the Florence heat), I finally had a day to explore the city. Unfortunately, there is much more to cover and I fly out tomorrow. I can only hope to return to this city in future.

Extra brownie points for using John Huston, a notable director in his own right. He oozes style, especially when donning the outfit above in the movie’s closing scenes.

On my way to Florence for Pitti, I thought it was time for my long-awaited viewing of Roman Polanski’s Chinatown. Not surprisingly, great style abounds.
